Breaking Down Old Paradigms, The Year Of Change 2019

I feel 2019 is going to be a great year of change.  Not just in our social, economical and political realities, but also in our personal lives.  I know 2019 will be my biggest year of change that I have ever experienced. I am entering a new career path.  I will be breaking down major social barriers by doing so, and this is a little scary for me, but it is what I am born to do.

Most people on this planet are not doing what they were born to do.  They do what they have been told they can do. Either due to race, sex, age living location etc…  We have been forced to live in tiny boxes of restraint, never fulfilling our true potential. I am not suggesting that everyone can become President or everyone can become a millionaire.  What I am suggesting is within your astrology chart, which is your blueprint, lies what you were born to do.

For me, that is a spiritual teacher.  When I was as young as 4 years old, I was drawn to all things to do with God and the spiritual.  I remember hearing  bells in the distance, and asking my parents what they were. They told me they were Church Bells, and that Church is where you go to be close to God.  I immediately told them that they had to take me to Church, I needed to be with God. My family had stopped going to Church after they left the Southern states. I was persistent, and would not stop asking.  They eventually took me to Church. My family thanked me for returning them to God. I had no idea what that meant at the time, but I said…okay. When I was 7, I would get out my Bible, and line up my stuffed animals.   I would read from the scriptures and teach them. My family would ask me to pray for them all the time. They told me that they never saw anyone with such a tight connection to God. They said there were other weird signs around me as well.  I was not understood, but they enjoyed my connection to God. They said, if I prayed for them, they got results. So, I started to receive many prayer requests from family members at a young age.

When I told my family that I wanted to become a minister, they told me it was impossible because I was a girl.  I was crushed, and completely confused, considering I was always doing prayers for them etc… I had this amazing connection to God, I was good at all things spiritual, but I can’t be a spiritual teacher because I am a girl.  What the heck? By the time, women were beginning to be accepted in the Christian tradition, I had moved on to other careers. I knew that I was born with a strong connection to the spiritual, and my career choices did not support this yearning deep inside of me.  I was born a certain way, and I wanted to know why?

I didn’t start to find it until I quit my dance career and started healing school.  My Healing teacher, Emma Newman, was a former Lutheran nun. She too, wanted to become a minister, and was told no.  This prompted her to leave the Christian faith and experience spirituality else where. She became ordained in the non-denominational faith, studied healing for many years, opened her own healing business and started her own school.  I studied with her for 5 years and followed in her footsteps, became ordained, opened my own healing business, and started teaching.

However, this was not enough for me.  There was something missing. It was after I started my journey in my Bon tradition in 2011, when it began to make sense.  If it weren’t for Emma, I would not have ever found Bon. She invited a woman named Marcy Vaughn to come to our school and teach us a new form of meditation.  This changed my life, and I found what I was looking for. I became a serious Bon practitioner.

Fast forward to 2018. I found myself discovering how I was connected to the female lineages of Bon.  I found there used to be female Bon teachers in the ancient days, and then they were lost. I knew in my heart that I was a part of these lineages, and I was a teacher many, many times in the Bon tradition and in Tibetan Buddhism.  I cried tears when I discovered all that was lost, and I wanted to help bring it back. Bon is very accepting of women as equals, however there are hardly any female teachers. It is still very unbalanced. Teachers/Lamas traditional grow up in the monastery, take monk vows and then become a Geshe.  Which is the PHD in Bon philosophy. Or they grow up in the monastery and become ordained as a Lama without taking monk vows.

I have decided that it is my path to become a Female, American Bon Lama.  I will be assisting in bringing the energy of the lost women Lamas back to our reality.  I discussed this with my teacher Tempa Lama in the Spring of 2018, and on 11/11/18 he agreed to teach and train me.   It will take me many, many years before I am ordained, and I am willing to do whatever it takes to achieve my goal. If I die before I am ordained, I am fine with that too.  I feel that by beginning this new path, I am making a difference. I will be breaking down social, religions barriers that have been in place for a long time.

I am sure that not all people will be happy about my decision.  Some may think I am crazy, and will say that an American female can’t become a Bon Lama.  In this lifetime, I am not Tibetan, I did not grow up in the monastery, I was not born into a known family lineage, and I am not a recognized reincarnation of a teacher.  In my past lives, I had several of these things, but not in this life, and it does make my path more difficult. But, I don’t care. I am what I am for a reason, and I was born to become an American, Female, Bon Lama.  And, this is what I shall do. After I made this decision, and it became a reality, I expected to be bouncing off the walls with excitement. I wasn’t… I felt serious, and calm. I don’t even know what I will do once I am ordained.  For me, that is not important right now. Just starting the process, is what is I must do. I am taking it one day at a time.

This new path will not change my current business Rising Frequencies.  It will actually allow me to be of greater service to my clients. I will continue to see clients, write articles and do my radio shows as I have been doing for the past several years.  I will definitely have less free time, because I will be studying hard. I enjoy being a student, and I am so blessed to have amazing teachers. Without the support of my teachers this would not be

possible for me.  Especially Tempa Lama. He has faith in me, and has agreed to take this journey with me. He has told me nothing is stopping me from becoming a Lama, all I need to do is stand tall and work extremely hard. Which I agreed to do for the rest of my life.  After all these years, I am finally doing what I was born to do, and nothing will stand in my way of achieving my goal. Not even death, can stand in my way. What I don’t finish in this lifetime, I will finish in my next life. I am a woman on a mission, full of joy, inspiration, and energy.  

May all sentient beings be free from suffering and do what they are born to do.
